About US

PipSqueak Speech Therapy was founded in 2009 and is currently soley owned by Tara Roof, M.S., CCC-SLP. Tara sees the majority of PipSqueak's clients, but she has one other speech pathologist working part-time for her.   

Tara Roof, M.S., CCC-SLP

Tara Monte Roof graduated from the University of Alabama in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders. She received her Master’s degrees in speech-language pathology from the University of Alabama in 2000.

Tara began her career as a speech-language pathologist in 2001 in Birmingham, AL working in the public schools where she worked with children in grades Pre-K thru 8. In 2003, she moved to Knoxville, TN and was employed by a private practice where she worked in a variety of settings including the public schools and early intervention. In 2005, she moved back to Alabama where she worked in a middle school as a speech-language pathologist and special education teacher. While there, she worked with children with a variety of disabilities including Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Down Syndrome, and significant cognitive delays. She taught reading intervention classes for struggling readers, ran social skills groups for adolescence with High-functioning Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome, and she assisted teachers in adapting the curriculum within the general education classroom to meet the students’ needs.  In 2009, Tara relocated to Nashville where she worked at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center serving on the School-Age and the Autism Spectrum Disorders teams.  Tara’s areas of specialty are child language, articulation, reading comprehension, and Autism.

Tara is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Communication Disorders, is a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), and is a member of the Tennessee Association of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (TAASLP).

Tara currently resides in Franklin, TN with her husband.
 
 
 
 
 

Katherine Seyb, M.S., CCC-SLP

                              

Katherine Campbell Seyb graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  She received her Master's degree in Communicative Disorders from East Tennessee State University in 2001.  

 

Katherine began her career as a speech-language pathologist in June of 2001 at Heartland Rehabilitation Services in Bristol, Virginia.  There she worked with children through the early intervention system, school aged clients, adults in home healthcare and clients at the Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute.  In September of 2002 she moved to Franklin, TN, where she was employed by a private practice.  During this time she worked as the speech-language pathologist in the public schools as well as with children through the early intervention system.  In July 2004, Katherine relocated with her husband to Anchorage, Alaska where she was employed by Alaska Speech and Hearing Clinic. During this time she worked in a clinic setting, treating children with a variety of disorders.  Katherine's areas of specialty include phonological disorders, child language, hearing impairments, and cognitive delays.  In 2011, she and her family moved back home to Franklin. She joined PipSqueak in September 2011.

 

Katherine is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Communicative Disorders and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. 

Katherine currently resides in Franklin, TN with her husband and children.
